Young Adults Day — Sabbath, August 22, 2026
What a powerful and inspiring worship experience we witnessed on Sabbath, August 22, 2026, at APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH as our Young Adults Ministry reminded the entire church family of a simple but profound truth: we were MADE FOR MORE!
I wish to extend my heartfelt pastoral commendation to our Young Adults Ministry, under the leadership of Gabrielle, Shana-Kay, and Rondale, together with their dedicated team, volunteers, and the various departments and ministries of APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH that collaborated to make the day such a meaningful experience. To everyone who attended, participated, served, prayed, sang, welcomed, supported, and worked behind the scenes—thank you! The spirit of cooperation demonstrated what is possible when the church unites around a common mission.
The theme, “MADE FOR MORE,” was more than a creative expression for a special day. It was a declaration of identity, calling, and purpose. In a world constantly attempting to define our young adults by success, status, possessions, popularity, and the expectations of others, the Gospel gives us a greater definition: our identity is found in Christ, and our lives have been created for His purpose.
At APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, we believe our young adults are not simply the church of tomorrow—they are an important and vital part of the church today. God has given them gifts to develop, voices to use, ministries to lead, communities to influence, and people to reach. We must therefore continue creating opportunities for them to worship, serve, lead, ask questions, develop their gifts, and discover more fully God’s calling upon their lives.
A special word of appreciation goes to Elder Volence Drummond, whose powerful presentation of the Word brought the theme into sharp focus. We were reminded that it is not so much about how we start the Christian journey, but about how we allow God to meet us where we are, transform us, and use us for His divine purpose. Our beginning does not have to determine our ending. Wherever we are on the journey, when we place ourselves in God’s hands, He can shape our experiences and use our lives for His glory.
That is the message I especially want our young adults to carry with them: God is not finished with you!
You were made for more than simply existing. You were made for more than the expectations of others. You were made for more than your mistakes and disappointments. You were made to know Christ, walk in His purpose, use your gifts, and make an impact for His Kingdom.
So keep growing. Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep serving. Keep dreaming. And even when the journey becomes difficult, keep trusting God. Do not allow fear, failure, comparison, or uncertainty to silence what God has placed within you. Give Him your life and allow Him to reveal the “more” He has prepared for you.
As the family of APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, let us continue to encourage our young adults, pray for them, mentor them, listen to them, make room for their gifts, and walk alongside them. Their passion, creativity, energy, and commitment are needed as together we fulfill the mission God has entrusted to His church.
To our Young Adults Ministry: we see you, we value you, we believe in what God is doing through you, and we are praying for you. May August 22, 2026, not be remembered simply as another successful Young Adults Day, but as another step in a growing movement of young people who understand their identity in Christ and are prepared to live courageously for His purpose.
The message continues beyond the day:
You are called. You are gifted. You have a purpose. You are MADE FOR MORE!
May APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH continue to be a place where every generation is empowered to discover its God-given purpose as together we Thrive in Christ: Building Faith, Unity, and Impact.
