What a day! What a worship experience! What a celebration of faith, fellowship, and mission!
The Metro East Camp Meeting on Sabbath, August 15, 2026, was truly an unforgettable and Spirit-filled experience! Churches from across our region gathered together, filling the atmosphere with joyful praise, powerful worship, warm fellowship, and an incredible sense of unity. Metro East came together as one family—and what a blessing it was!
There was something beautiful about seeing our sister churches worshipping side by side. We prayed together, sang together, celebrated together, and were reminded that although we come from different congregations, we are one Church, serving one God, with one mission!
Our theme, “CALLED, FORMED, SENT,” came alive throughout the day. We were reminded that God CALLS us by His grace, FORMS us for His purpose, and SENDS us to impact our communities and our world for His Kingdom!
And what a blessing we received through our guest speaker, Dr. Gregory Carol! He answered the call of God and delivered a powerful Word that challenged, encouraged, and inspired us to embrace God’s calling upon our lives and move forward in mission.
AND APPLE CREEK WAS THERE!
One of my greatest joys was seeing APPLE CREEK SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH represented and actively involved in so many areas of the Camp Meeting!
We didn’t just attend—we served!
We didn’t just watch—we participated!
We didn’t just gather—we worshipped!
From our musicians, praise team, Children’s Ministries, hospitality, ushers, technical personnel, uniformed ministries, deacons and deaconesses, platform participants, volunteers, and those faithfully working behind the scenes—Apple Creek showed up ready to serve!
As your pastor, my heart was filled with joy seeing our members using their gifts alongside our brothers and sisters throughout Metro East. This is what ministry looks like—God’s people working together for God’s glory!
A tremendous THANK YOU to the Ontario Conference Administration, Metro East Ministerium, ministry leaders, volunteers, and every person who worked tirelessly to make this Camp Meeting such an incredible experience.
But Metro East, Camp Meeting cannot end at Camp Meeting!
We must carry the fire home!
Let us return to our churches energized, encouraged, united, and ready for mission. Let us take what we experienced and pour it into our homes, churches, communities, workplaces, and neighbourhoods.
Because we have been…
CALLED by God!
FORMED for His purpose!
SENT on His mission!
Metro East, what an experience!
Apple Creek, let’s keep the fire burning!
