On September 8, students across various educational levels returned to school donned in masks. Teachers prepared lesson plans, while parents weighed transmission risks and explored learning options for their children. It is an unusual time for schooling as provincial officials express concern over the spike in COVID19 cases in Ontario, and Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Teresa Tam, advised that the next 14 days will be crucial. We wanted to know how students, parents and teachers in our congregation felt about returning to school and the role of their faith in God during an extraordinary start to 2020-2021 academic year.
